Originally, I was just going to make just Sodium hydroxide but I didn’t want to stop. I bubble air through a Lye and water solution to make Sodium Carbonate.

This could be an old way to make new energy. If I had the supplies, I would have made a reaction chamber where Hydrogen from the electrolysis would go and the Co2 from the end would go. A simple Nickle catalyst in the chamber, heated to 800F would convert the Hydrogen gas and Co2 into water and Methane(Natural gas). Methane is mined out of the ground all over the world. If I had enough solar panels and batteries to offset the power required for the electrolysis, heater for the catalyst, and an aerator, then the only resources the process would consume is water, sunlight(renewable), and Co2(renewable).
Its a way to reuse the carbon that we’ve already used. I had fun doing this experiment. I learned things and even thought of ways to cut corners to save time and still end up with the desired product. I thought of this process about a year ago. However I was not the first. I didn’t say I invented it. No, I’m a 100 years too late!
